Dear Sir or Madam,
I think this is be something I would like to attend and was wondering what the topic of October’s lecture is.
Kind regards,
Gwyn
October’s lecture will be:-
Anthony Bacon (1717-1786) ‘A Man of Foresight’
Founder of Cyfarthfa Ironworks
Has anyone information in regard to the farm that was swept away in the disaster.
Its position, who was killed, and any other information you may have.
My brother and I may well have lived on this farm in 1940-1941. It was then owned by my mothers brother with the surname Rees.
Also I remember a ROC post on the banks of the canal a short distance from the farm.
If you know any one who may be able to help it would be very much appreciated.
I am researching my family history, and have been told about a man Thomas Jones originally from Bangor North Wales, but spent his life in Merthyr Tydfil he was known by the name Tommy Stockings
Do you happen to know where I could perhaps research him
My grt
Grt grandfather was a flannel Hawker also from Bangor but settled in NEATH I was thinking there might be a connection with the stockings
Thank you
