What a sad story. Something that he made to help keep people safe contributing to his death.
Admire your diligence in finding stories like this Leigh, Jason & others.
Thank you for you comments. It really is a a great pleasure putting this blog together – hard work, but so enjoyable. It is always lovely to know that people are enjoying what I do.
A very sad story. He was so young. I have just applied to join the MTHS and look forward to my membership.
I have strong connections to South Wales. My father was born in Bedlinog. His father James Henry Newcombe was the Station Master there. The name Pugh (and many others) are in my family tree.
Kind regards, Elizabeth Kerry Newcombe. Darwin, Australia.
