To add to Italy – my GGM’s only grandson Ivor Hughes (Sapper in R.E from Fairview Terrace in Merthyr) died in Monte Cassino 19/1/44 after surviving African campaigns. He was 23. One of too many on the memorial plaques there in Italy. Reply
